The act will become effective March 1, 2024, so this is the earliest that online casino games could go live in the state. Persons 21 years of age or older will be able to set up accounts and play as long as they are physically within the borders of Rhode Island.
Under the terms of SB 948, the iGaming market will be regulated by the State Lottery Division.
